"Think First & Stay Safe" program recognized at the Celebration of Leadership

In April of 2010, Holly's House began offering our "Think First & Stay Safe" program.  Since that  time, we have educated over 4000 elementary school children about personal safety.

The program covers topics such as:

  • Preventing Sexual Exploitation
  • Internet Safety
  • School Violence Prevention
  • Drugs and Personal Safety
  • The Fear Factor
  • Fostering Self-Esteem
  • And Much More

Recently, the "Think First & Stay Safe program received the Project Award for Health & Social Services at the 11th Annual Celebration of Leadership.

Holly's House is currently striving to bring the program to local elementary schools (free of cost). We at Holly's House are excited to have an opportunity to help children understand the risks to their safety and to develop skills for their own protection and feel that this program is exactly what we need to accomplish that goal.

If you are interested in bringing the program to your organization or if you have questions contact Kat Isbell, Prevention Educator

This program is made possible by grants from:

911 Gives Hope, PAL Foundation, Gibson County Community Foundation, Junior League of Evansville, Posey County Community Foundation, Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Indiana,  Vanderburgh County Community Foundation,  Warrick County Community Foundation and the Welborn Baptist Foundation
