Darkness to Light
Find programs that raise awareness of the prevalence and consequences of child sexual abuse by educating adults about the steps they can take to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to the reality of child sexual abuse.
Stewards of Children, created by Darkness to Light and offered in Southwest Indiana by our community partner Lampion Center, is a comprehensive, community wide program taught to adults who are concerned about preventing and treating child sexual abuse.

KidSmartz
Connect with a child safety program that educates families about preventing primarily abduction, yet the skills can also be applied to preventing abuse, which is more prevalent. The tools on the site also empower kids in grades K-5 to practice safer behaviors. Parents, caregivers, and teachers will find resources to help protect kids by teaching and practicing the 4 Rules of Personal Safety using tips, printable activities, quizzes, articles, music, videos, and more.

The program, a creation of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC), is designed for children ages 5-17, parents and guardians, educators, and law enforcement. With resources such as videos, games, activity cards, and presentations, NetSmartz entertains while it educates kids, tweens, and teens!
