BLUE JEANS FOR PREVENTION
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. In honor of this awareness month, Holly’s House hosts “Blue Jeans for Prevention.”
Through this program, Holly's House partners with local businesses and schools who offer their employees the opportunity wear jeans to work or wear a blue pin indicating their participation and support. Each participating employee makes a donation for the "jeans day," with all proceeds directly benefiting the programs and services of Holly’s House. |
How can your company or group participate?
We provide you with promotional materials, blue ribbon pins and collection receptacles prior to the event. We come by the day after the event and collect everything. That’s it!

Do you have to wear blue jeans?
No, you can wear anything denim or, if dressing down is not an option, wear one of our blue pins. We will provide a tent card sign to place in your reception area to help inform customers or clients the significance of the blue jeans in your business that day.
What other ways can you increase your donation?
You can ask clients, customers and friends to join you by making a donation. We will provide extra pins just in case. Some companies will be donating their tips or a portion of their profit that day. Others will be asking employees to consider brown bagging their lunch and donating what they would have spent eating out. Challenge another company, division, or floor to match or beat your donations. There are many creative options.

What do we get out of participating?
In addition to the knowledge that you are supporting your local Advocacy Center which currently serves victims and families affected by child sexual abuse in Vanderburgh, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Gibson, Knox, Daviess and Warrick counties, we will acknowledge your participation on our website and with frequent Facebook page updates.
