More Information about Reporting
Child Abuse
- All adults in Indiana are mandated reporters, by law they must report child abuse. Learn about mandated reporting.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call 9-1-1. Otherwise call the Department of Child Services (DCS) hotline at 1-800-800-5556 to report. DCS will always be involved in the investigation of child abuse.
- DCS or law enforcement schedules a child forensic interview by making an appointment at Holly's House. Families can receive support from Holly's House prior to an interview, but a report must be made and interviews are not scheduled by families.
- Holly's House is a neutral party in the investigative process and has no deciding role in a case and cannot provide any information about an investigation. Families seeking additional information about cases need to contact their DCS caseworker or the detective assigned to the investigation.
